Common Grounds

Common Grounds is held every Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m.

To give us an image of how things work in the Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus once told a story about a King talking to his servant about a banquet he had planned. People he had originally invited refused to come. So he arrived at a new way of thinking...

King: "Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in here the poor, maimed, blind, and lame!"
Servant: "Lord, what you ordered has been done, and there's still room!"
King: "Go out into the highways and lanes and make them come in to my banquet, so that my house may be filled." (Luke 14:21-23)

Common Grounds may be the best preview we have of a banquet in the Kingdom of God...Actually it IS a banquet in the Kingdom of God: people from all walks of life eating together, praying together, singing together, and serving one another. "On Earth as it is in Heaven". Oh, we're not perfect, but we're together.

Common Grounds is an experience of Christian Community.  A free dinner is served at 6:00. The night begins with a brief Bible discussion, and ends with a time of prayer.  At Common Grounds, you will find fellowship, prayer and an atmosphere of welcome, love, and hospitality. Join us every Thursday evening. No matter who you are or where you are in life, God says "you're invited"!
